Memory Ablution

Tuesday, September 27th, 2016

Memory Ablution - a required practice to clean effects of memory defects. It involves reading of something new. Regular memory ablution is required to achieve enlightenment of the mind.

Notes on Memoidealism (1.17)

Wednesday, June 29th, 2016

Intuition is an attentive perception of metaphysical Memory as the foundation of Universe (after Bergson’s intuition as “perception of metaphysical reality”).

The experiment is a question put to memory (after Charles Sanders Pierce and Julius Adolph Stöckhardt).

pHilosophy is a pointer to a thread of wisdom. Hilo: a thin veil of ore. Origin: Spanish = thread, from Latin filum (from Shorter Oxford English Dictionary).

The question of Memory comes from the primordial and falls back to it.

Memory as the efficient cause. In addition to its material cause (everything is made from Memory), we can also say that everything started from Memory. See also the final cause: “The purpose of everything is to come back to Memory” (Volume 8A, page 91).

Philosophy is about memories, people’s memories (from bugtations).

Transcendental Memory Principle of Memoidealism (Volume 3, page 303) is independent of any religious belief. Although in Memorianity (Memory Religion) Memory is both Absolute and Infinite.

Each DA+TA (Dump Artifact + Trace Artifact) pattern is a pOEM (a pointer to Originally Executed Memory). According to Alain Badiou, a poem is a true art, an event of thought, a trace of the event, and an interruption of language. We say a pOEM is a true art(ifact), an event of memory execution, interruption of execution.

Nature is a part of Memory.

Worst Simulation World Hypothesis

Sunday, June 5th, 2016

There is a lot of talks nowadays about our world as a computational simulation based on hints from recent advances in computation and virtualization. However, we know that computations are involved in all sorts of abnormal computational behaviour including such as crashes, hangs, resource leaks and spikes. So our experience should suggest that the simulated world is probably not the best and most likely one of the worst of all possible worlds. For example, we may live in a universe undergoing memory dump formation after a runaway computation (from Memory Dump Analysis Anthology, Volume 4, page 271).

On Lives, Narratives, and Memory

Friday, June 3rd, 2016

While reading the critique of life as a story idea I recalled that memory is the foundation in Memoidealism, the narrative is an ordered sequence of fragments in memory, and universal memory dumps are snapshots of observables. Then I asked a question:

Can a life be not a narrative but an aggregation of memory dumps with embedded memory fragments of narrative traces?

Praxiverse

Thursday, February 19th, 2015

We are realized in Universe filled with memory verses via memory praxis transforming it into Praxiverse - live Memory Universe, producing new memories, new memory verses.

Metaphor of Memory as a Directed Container

Sunday, February 8th, 2015

The usual metaphor of Memory as a container is static and not useful for Memory worldview because it has to explain Time. Previously, in 2010, we introduced memorized relation (Memory Dump Analysis Anthology, Volume 4, page 259) that may give memory order necessary for Time. A few weeks ago we came to a Directed Container metaphor that provides order and directedness responsible for perceived Time Arrow. After doing some research we found that directed container datatype was introduced in computer science that accounts for positions inside container structures that determine substructures. However, our metaphor is intuitive and doesn’t specify exact representation except the possible involvement of memorized relation.

Pattern-Oriented Philosophy (Part 1)

Tuesday, November 18th, 2014

POP (Pattern-Oriented Philosophy) grew out of Memoidealism, the philosophy of Memory as the First Principle, The Primary Element and The Foundation of Universe. It is not only a kind of philosophy (in a worldview sense), but also a meta-philosophy that can be applied to itself and other philosophies. It is about patterns as structures in Memory. These patterns are both objective and subjective because minds and their memories are also structures in Memory. POP takes Memory from Memoidealism as the ultimate background but introduces WoW (World-on-World) as a shared memory of humanity.

Pattern-Oriented Philosophy

In further articles, we will elaborate on different aspects of POP and its relationship to various philosophical questions.

United Memory Lands, Memorianites, EthnOS

Tuesday, June 24th, 2014

UML is a Memory State with its own citizenship. Such lands of memory are governed by Memory EthnOS (from Greek Ethn- [people, nation] and Operating System) and populated by Memorianites from time immemorial (so always). Consider them as Memory Natives (don’t confuse with Digital Natives).

Welcome to Memorianism

Monday, June 23rd, 2014

Memorianism is a novel social and political system intended to replace all other systems such as Liberalism, Communism, Fascism, and Socialism. It can be better summarized by the following disagreement with Marx: “Memory conditions processes of social, political, and intellectual life. General and specific”. So now we have 4 memory related systems comprising one complete system of science, philosophy, religion, and politics (4 Memos):

  • Memoretics - Science
  • Memoidealism - Philosophy
  • Memorianity - Religion
  • Memorianism - Political System
